If you’re serious about growing your YouTube channel faster and smarter, these three AI prompts will help you generate better ideas, craft irresistible titles, and create videos that truly hook your audience.
PROMPT #1: VIDEO IDEAS THAT PERFORM
Tool: ChatGPT
Purpose: Come up with really good proven video ideas
“Act as a YouTube strategist for [insert niche] channels that want to grow faster. Your task is to come up with high-performing video ideas based on proven market demand and tailored to [insert ideal viewer: who you want to attract to your channel].
First, analyse these popular videos from a similar competitor channel: [go to your competitors channels and paste in the 5-10 top video titles from their ‘Most Popular’ tab on YouTube].
Use these titles as inspiration to generate new video ideas specifically for this creator.
For each idea, output the following:
Video Idea: [Summarize the concept in one sentence]
Goal of the Video: [Choose one: ‘Leads’, ‘Views’, or ‘Connection’]
Title Ideas: [Give 2-3 engaging YouTube title ideas, each under 55 characters, designed to build curiosity]
Thumbnail Idea: [Describe a simple thumbnail concept: one subject + bold 3-4 word text that captures attention]
Make sure all ideas are realistic, desirable, and aligned with trends in [insert niche]. Focus on ideas that have high potential to either grow the channel or convert the ideal viewer into a subscriber or client.”
Notes: To use this prompt, you will have to go to your competitors channel on YouTube and copy their ten most popular video titles into the prompt.

PROMPT #3: INTROS THAT KEEP VIEWERS WATCHING
Tool: Claude
Purpose: To write out the introduction for your next video
”You are going to write an engaging introduction for my next YouTube video. I’m going to give you a video title and my input bias, and you are going to give me 9 hooks, 5 input biases, and 9 open loop questions.
The video title: [Add title]
My input bias: [Add your input bias/unique advantage here – explain why someone should listen to YOU about this topic. What effort and research have you put into this video?]
Using the video title as your starting point, create 9 hooks. Three hooks will be a strong statement. Three hooks will be a question. Three hooks will be an interesting statistic.
For example:
Strong statement hook – e.g., “Stop using ChatGPT, because it will wreck your channel.”
Question hook – e.g. “Have you ever wondered how geckos can walk on the ceiling?”
Statistic hook – e.g. “Did you know a cloud weighs around a million tonnes.”
These are just examples. But make sure the hooks you generate align with the video title provided.
Next, create 5 input biases. These are sentences that highlight the effort and research put into the videos content. The point of this is to explain why someone should listen to me about this topic. Use the information in ‘my input bias’ to help with this.
For guidance, input bias could be something like “I’ve spent the last 10 years editing videos and this is my top advice” or “I’ve spent the last 28 days studying YouTube thumbnails and this is what I found”
Make sure the input bias is based off the ‘my input bias’ section
Finally, you are going to generate nine open loop questions. Read the video title, and think ‘what questions will the viewer have in mind before clicking on the video’. Then write out these questions.
Here is how this will be formatted.
Hooks X9
[Hook 1]
[Hook 2]
[Hook 3] etc
INPUT BIAS x5.
[Input Bias 1]
[Input Bias 2]
Etc
Open Loop x9
[Open Loop 1]
[Open Loop 2]
Etc”
Here’s the important part…
These prompts aren’t magic. They won’t fix poor content. They won’t make boring videos interesting. They won’t build your channel for you. But they WILL save you hours of creative struggle each week.
They’ll give you a solid foundation to build upon.
And most importantly, they’ll let you focus on what actually matters: Creating consistent, valuable content for your viewers. Because at the end of the day, that’s what moves the needle. Not the latest AI tool or “hack” everyone’s talking about. Just solid content, delivered consistently, to the right audience.
