NFT Marketing Strategy That Will SELL OUT Any Project

    Today we’re talking about how you can market your NFT project let’s get into it.

    All right guys before we get into how to market your NFT project I do want to make one quick announcement with wgmy studios and the podcast me kosher plug and my friend bento boy are all doing together so we plan on making a podcast and making a whole media site where basically if you watch the last video you know it’s all about but really you can just see upcoming projects the news going on in the NFT space and we have a lot, lot more planned.

    So guys it probably wasn’t too much of a secret especially what bento hinted at but we definitely are dropping an NFT collection with this and if you do want to get on the white list all magic mushroom holders all squishy squad holders and all plug pass holders are guaranteed whitelist and of course, if you are active and positive in the discord we will be throwing whitelist spots there as well we are doing a 20 000 NFT collection because we want as many people to have the opportunity to get access to this as possible so there’s a lot of opportunities for whitelist along with a lot of collaborations from our influencer friends, so guys be on the lookout for that.

    We already have 10 000 people in the discord so if you’re not in there I’ll put that in the first link in the description below if you want to check it out all right but on to what this video is actually about guys so in the NFT academy I think it’s safe to say about 80 of the people that are starting a project really struggle with marketing and that’s their number one question and the number one reason they decided to join our program.

    And so guys this is such a hard topic because there’s never one right answer or one right way to market your project so typically we always suggest and the number one rule of marketing is split testing meaning you try two different things and see which one does the best and whichever strategy gets the best results you double down on it so that’s always going to be the principle when we talk about marketing is that you need to try five to ten different things or different methods on what i talk about in the rest of this video because no matter what each project is different messaging’s different your audience is different and there’s never one right way that i can tell you that this is 100 gonna work to sell out your project.

    So with that being said understand that you need to try a lot of different things and then be tracking how much engagement you get how well they do and then the ones that actually do better are the ones you want to double down on so my partner crypto Brando and I are both strong marketers and we actually talked a little bit about this on our friend Sebastian George’s channel, I’m sure a lot of you know who that is but if not definitely go give Sebastian a subscribe on youtube and a follow on Twitter he’s one of the most entertaining people I know and we have shared a lot of good information on his channel so definitely go check that out.

    But guys marketing at its core is really really simple and so I need you guys to kind of understand that first off the best marketing is a banger product so I mean if we look at the project metaverse, for example, all they did to market their project was release one hype video showing their 3d models it was about 30 seconds long very simple and it just showed that their art was levels above anything the market had seen at the time that one video had almost 250 000 views without any paid promotion no ads nope collaborations no influencers pushing it just purely organic because the art was so so high quality.

    We’ve seen this a lot with other projects we saw sevens pop off but guys keep in mind these projects have flopped pretty hard since then and that’s why i’m such big advocates on getting projects that where i bet on the people and people that are actually going to continue to build to help bring more utility and get more awareness to the project but guys keep in mind the high quality art there’s no substitute for it that’s the best thing you can do so guys if you’re not in the position where you’re something like the doodles with a very well-known artist or very high quality talented artist in your pipeline.

    You don’t have the money to hire one and that’s just not possible you definitely want to make sure you get quality art but there’s going to be more you’re going to have to do to actually get that message out there and get people excited about your project so art is always one or on top of that another great strategies have very strong fundamentals very strong development and really good technical skill doing something new in the space because it’s a product that people want obviously that’s going to be great but even products like that if you don’t have marketing or you don’t know how to get the messaging out it’s still kind of hard to sell because no one is going to know about it so let me kind of go in depth and kind of explain the thought process you need to have when you’re formulating your market strategy.

    So really marketing like i said it’s pretty simple at its core it’s all about messaging and when i mean messaging is how do you convey what your project is about in the most concise clear manner that people that are finding out about your project will understand who this is for and what they’ll get out of it or why it will help them so it’s really simple you want to be able to explain your project to someone in around two sentences and these two sentences should tell this person exactly who this project is for and how they’re going to benefit from it.

    Like i just said so the best example i can use is going to be the Magic Mushroom Clubhouse our messaging is we are the best first nft we help you find your place in the nft space so let’s break that down the best first nft this tells you that we are a good nft if you’re someone that’s new and you’re looking to get into the nft space maybe you’re looking around and maybe you haven’t bought an nft or if you have you got rug it was a bad experience and now you can feel safe that this is the right one to be your first real community to get involved with.

    That’s all that is implied in four words the best first nft you know exactly who it’s for and you can be confident in that now the second line we help you find your place in the nft space okay so guys we all know the nft space moves so quickly and there’s so much that you can do you can flip nfts and be a full-time trader you can build nft projects you could build profile projects you could educate others there’s a lot you can do.

    So the whole point of the matching mushroom clubhouse is that you can come into a safe space learn where you know that you’re not going to get taken advantage of and then we can help guide you with your goals and so that is all that is being conveyed but only in two seconds i hear project pitches probably 12 to 50 times a day every single time i hop into voice chat there’s always that one guy that’s trying to pitch me their project and sometimes not the best times typically people are spending five to ten minutes just to tell me the whole background who they are and i never really even understand what the project is all about because they’ve shared information overload everyone is hearing about projects all day every day.

    There’s so much information on twitter and so the only way to cut through the noise is have a very clear concise message that people will understand right out the gate so take a moment right now if you’re working on your own project how would you describe your project in two sentences okay it’s probably not going to come to you right away so what you guys need to do is take a step back and kind of write out the bullet points of your project what is the utility what value are they being provided what are our strong suits.

    What are our weaknesses and really focus on those strong suits and make sure that’s very clear now if you’re struggling to do this maybe that’s a sign that you need to go back to the drawing board and add more value and focus on how you’re actually going to make this something that people want to join at the end of the day guys there needs to be something about you something about your teammates something about your idea your angle that’s unique and that gives you an advantage you need to lean into your advantages and if you don’t have any advantages maybe you need to be putting in that work start building some more hard skills.

    Or get some more experience under your belt before you even start making a project I have a lot of people that want to build projects but they’re really not in a position to be doing that a lot of people want to educate people in the space but they don’t have the experience to back him it was a long road for me to get where I am and I’ve had a lot of people talk to and say hey brett how do I market a project if I don’t have a big youtube channel like you guys I had zero following in august and September nothing I didn’t even have a youtube channel my Twitter had less than 200 people I hadn’t used it in seven years my Instagram had maybe a thousand followers from my previous work so i came in with zero i just was in the penguin community in the dogepound community started talking and the reason i made my first video was to help people buy a dosh pound and I’d made it for the dogepound community just because I wanted to help out.

    And then obviously i had the idea for the magic mushroom clubhouse and so i decided to start and keep making more videos that i thought would help people because i had found a lot of success trading nfts so it went from not having any nfts the trading nfts the first few weeks losing a lot of money then figuring it out and making a good amount of money the next two months then making a video for a community because i was so indebted into that community and then making videos to actually teach people because i went through those trials and tribulations and made those mistakes and learned and once i started putting that on my channel a lot of people were actually really appreciative and ended up following me and being very very supportive.

    So guys that is how i grew my following i went from nothing but i put the work in i had the experience and i grew it over time and i’ve stuck with it and here i am today continuing to share my story as now i’m a major builder in the space so guys understand that did not happen overnight and that was not just something i had that was earned in a sense and you guys need to be doing that same thing so make sure there’s at least something exceptional about you you have some sort of results to back or you have a really creative technical idea that you can execute on better than anybody else can.

    Alright guys enough of that rant back to the marketing so messaging the most important thing you need to be able to explain your project in two sentences so let’s say there is something exceptional about you and you guys do have a cool plan that a lot of people would be interested in now the goal is to get that message in front of as many people as possible so how do you do this this is the million dollar question i think this is what people really want to see so guys this is what i call marketing tactics there are a ton of tactics to get in front of people you guys need to make sure that your messaging aligns with your audience traffic.

    So what do i mean by this we had a lot of celebrities talk about the magic mushroom clubhouse because that was the marketing experience my partner crypto brando had before this was influencer marketing on social media and guys it was an absolute flop we spent tens of thousands of dollars to get a list celebrities five 10 20 million followers on instagram and other social media sites the tweet about us changed their profile picture and honestly we got very little to no results which was surprising to us because because these tactics worked very well in the web 2 world but we didn’t understand the fact that people who follow celebrities didn’t really know what nfts were they weren’t all that interested even if they were interested it is so hard to figure out how to buy cryptocurrency understand blockchain send it to a wallet and then buy an nft that they probably got frustrated and just gave up.

    And so we learned a really expensive lesson that you need to make sure that you’re putting your message in front of NFT people in an NFT dense audience because very simple those are your buyers that is your target demographic if you’re selling an NFT and at the time there was only about 200 000 NFT wallets and now there’s around a million so things might be moving in that direction but still, the NFT audience is very very small and the NFT market is very very dense and so you need to make sure that you’re at least getting the message in front of people that already have NFT’s or have at least experienced crypto in a sense so once you have that down that’s what we call a niche you need to make sure you’re marketing the NFT niche all right.

    But typically when you have a project you actually are marketing to a niche of a niche sometimes within a niche so this is really important to understand we understand that we need a market to NFT people okay so we’ll contact NFT influencers NFT promotional accounts we’ll do NFT collaborations with projects we’ll do giveaways we’ll give away whitelist spots to influencers to give away to their audience all these tactics we see working guys it’s no secret you can pretty much look at any project that’s been successful see how they did it on Twitter and just copy that and use it for your project.

    So these tactics are not hard to find and they’re not a secret and this is what people I think miss I feel like they think they just don’t know a secret that us big influencers have or other projects had success like they feel like they don’t know if it’s all in the open but you guys need to understand that a successful marketing campaign means that every single box is checked in line and thought through okay so what I mean by this is if you say you want to use the giveaway tactic to grow your following now this is something I’ve strayed away from because I don’t think giveaway followers are necessarily the target market you want to advertise to.

    Why? Just because personally every NFT whale I know or anyone relatively successful in the space is not retweeting and tagging two friends to win a free 500 nft and those are the people you want to impress the whales the people that are big in the space that can actually spread the word and get a lot of hype around your project so if you’re just doing giveaways and building your following like that so yes you’ll grow your social media and get a lot of followers which is good social proof right off the bat like it’s nice to have 5 000 followers some people be like okay there’s something here but anything more than that it’s almost hurting your engagement.

    It’s going to give you a false sense of security and you’re going to over-inflate your audience and your confidence in selling out but that’s a really important piece to know that and not all numbers of people in the discord are the same you could have a thousand whales and discord and that’s 20 times better than a hundred thousand giveaway bot link sharing invite competition whitelist spot discord you guys that are critical to understanding that number is only good at a certain point for social proof and really isn’t that important if you don’t have the heavy hitters in the space so guys we’re going to use a project that I’m advising for the cunning wolf society.

    As an example of how I came in and help them with their messaging typically when I’m an advisor for a project, marketing is my specialty in messaging and audiences are what i do best and that’s why I found success in the space and that’s how I help these projects when I’m an advisor if we hop over here to the cunning wolf society we help them dial in this bio on their Twitter inspiring the next generation of alpha leaders okay so this project is based on educating people they have been successful in the space they’re very smart ai developers and they have a lot of tools in their discord to help people.

    So we came up with inspiring the next generation of alpha leaders one they are inspiring the next wave aka everyone that’s kind of new in the space so it’s telling the next generation, new people, the people are coming in now but are going to run the space in three months they’re going to inspire them to be the alpha leaders now we use the word alpha because that’s used in the NFT space as like advice or free game whatever vocabulary you use and that this is actually perfectly in line with the alpha of a wolf pack and so it’s a double whammy right there that actually is a play on words and just comes together to be very perfect so they’re inspiring new people to become the next expert in the field makes sense.

    But in a very smooth eloquent way now the second sentence is even more important on chain NFT data intel platform exclusively for members of the pack so they are making a software tool like Nansen so they want to make an NFT data analytics tool that competes with Nansen but it’s just more and only focused on the NFT side so it’s an on-chain meaning that everything is going to be automatic the second it happens on-chain it’s on their tool intel platform the data intelligence platform so it’s a website and it’s exclusively for members of the pack.

    So this tells you that if you’re a holder of this NFT aka you’re a member of the pack you get access to this exclusive data intelligence program that makes sense they’re inspiring new people to become leaders in the space and they’re going to do that by giving their holders exclusive access to a new data tool simple as that that is what is implied but it’s we say it in a very concise eloquent way okay so that is great messaging so why is this important and why is this good messaging.

    Well because now with their marketing strategy and now that I’m an advisor and I really support this project I know a lot of my followers and a lot of my viewers are also data people because that’s what I used a lot especially at the beginning of my channel I always do nancy and I always use dune to kick off my market update videos and so I know my audience is probably gravitating towards data tools now on top of that how can they get this in front of other people well almost every whale I know every successful influencer is always using tools whether that’s bots monitors in their discord doon Nansen icy tools Mobi gg we are all using these tools and these chrome extensions to get an edge and so that appeals to very successful people in the NFT space.

    This messaging can appeal to both beginners and both whales and expert trading traders and flippers so that’s really important and this is going to give us a much broader audience to get this message out to now of course giveaways will be great for like I said the beginners with not as much money but on top of that, we can actually give whitelist spots to other big influencers because this is going to give their audience tools to be better traders and so it’s a win-win value exchange.

    The project gets to give away whitelist spots and pretty much get guaranteed sales and now the influencers get to give their holders access to an exclusive tool to help them become even better traders so that’s a win-win value exchange on both sides the problem I see a lot of projects have is they want to give whitelist spots to influencers but their whitelist spots are worthless they’re not really getting anything we hear these projects say oh we want to build a community we want to make a dow we want to do staking we want to do the most copy paste roadmap that you just saw the last project do and you think that
